1. Booking Terms

1.1. Mac Tuning Ltd’s agreement to undertake any work is considered the Buyer's acceptance of these Conditions.

This applies to all bookings processed and communicated over the phone, via email, message, WhatsApp and social media.

1.2. We reserve the right to refuse service to any individual at our discretion, without specifying a reason or time limit.

1.3. All bookings require a non-refundable deposit, the amount of which may vary based on the work. The remaining balance is due upon completion of the work.

When booking, you have the option to reserve without paying. In doing so, your card details will be securely stored with Stripe payment system. Upon completion of the tuning work the full amount will be due. Should you not arrive for your booking, fail to cancel or cancel within the stated period then your payment card will be charged a fee. This fee may be a booking deposit or percentage of the estimated work, details outlined in section 4.

Tuning software is not refundable once installed on a vehicle unless certain criteria points are met outlined below.

1.4 Our mobile service is available for some tuning services. This is offered at our discretion to specific locations where fee’s will apply. Our mobile service is not available for any post tuning issues or breakdowns.

2. Price Adjustments

2.1 List prices for parts and tuning quotes may change at any point down to the discretion of Mac Tuning Ltd.

2.2 Tuning quotes are valid for 30 days apart from when quoted within a sale period and that sale ends within the 30 day period.

3. Payment Procedures

3.1 Upon completion of services, payment is necessary to collect the vehicle. Invoices unsettled within 7 days accrue a 10% charge per day until fully paid.

3.2 Goods and services remain the Mac Tuning Ltd’s property until the Customer clears payment in full. The Company is entitled to recover administrative, collection, and legal costs for overdue amounts.

3.3 Any work paid for via the ‘split payment option’ such as that provided by Payment Assist will need to have the respective finance plan set up, approved and funds cleared prior to the work carried out. This option MUST be set up at the time of booking and prior to the day of tuning, specifically between 3-5 days prior or longer if specified by any Mac Tuning Ltd individual.

4. Cancellation Policy

4.2 Bookings for tuning software sessions paid via a finance option such as Clearpay and Payment assist cannot be cancelled once approved and booked in.

4.3 All booking deposits are non-refundable. Deposits will also not be refunded or will be charged (depending on the booking options) for those which are unreasonably late and the scheduled work cannot be carried out, those which fail to cancel or those who cancel within the stated period of times above.

5. Work Adjustments

5.1 If additional parts, labour or tuning work is needed during the booking, we'll proceed only with your authorization. A revised estimate will be provided for the added cost and time required to complete the extra work. Our mobile service does not cover any further tuning adjustments or changes.

6. Liability for Loss or Damage

6.1 It is highly recommended that the Customer removes any non-vehicle-related valuables. For loss or damage not attributable to Mac Tuning Ltd, the Customer must rely on their insurance.

6.2 Reporting Damaged Goods: If received goods are damaged, customers must inform Mac Tuning Ltd within 24 hours for credit or exchange requests.

6.3 Valuables on Company Premises: Customers are strongly advised to take all non-vehicle-related valuables when leaving the Mac Tuning Ltd’s premises. Mac Tuning Ltd cannot accept liability for any loss or damage to such items

6.4 Mac Tuning Ltd does not hold any responsibility for faults or errors that may occur if a vehicle has been previously tuned unbeknownst to the owner or ourselves, such issues are very rare however.

6.5 Each vehicle we work on will have been maintained differently and therefore has different wear and tear to it at the time the services are performed. In some cases, the wear and tear to one or more parts in the vehicle could be such that the tuning we carry out for you requests various drivetrain components to work slightly harder and doing so can push a worn component over its physical limits. If this happens, we are not responsible for the breakage.

6.6 We recommend that all customers have their vehicle serviced or inspected prior to tuning. This is to ensure the vehicle is in the best possible condition to safely deliver the additional power from tuning. We advise that the vehicle is looked at by a professional mechanical specialist and the common wearable or perishable items are inspected to ensure they have sufficient service life left within that part.

6.7 Further to the above points, it is the vehicle owners responsibility to ensure the vehicle is in a suitable state to be tuned. This includes ensuring all key components of the engine are healthy, maintained and are fully functioning and working correctly.

6.8 When making a booking with Mac Tuning, it is assumed you understand the associated risks that come with enhancing the performance and increasing the power of a vehicle. Although we carry out in depth checks to ensure all vehicles are healthy and with no obvious or major pre existing issues, it is sometimes the case that when enhancing performance, engine components may fail. By booking with us you are asking for a vehicles power to be pushed beyond the manufacturers specified limitations and therefore the risks in doing so are not to be taken lightly. If this occurs, then we do not hold any responsibility for the issues that arise and the relevant repairs the vehicle may required.

Mac Tuning will not be liable or responsible for any issues or mechanical failures with a vehicle before or after tuning which directly relate to an existing failing component or components likely to have an excessive level of wear and tear. The same also applies to any vehicle deemed not covered under the Lifetime Warranty. We are also not responsible if the vehicle cannot be tuned to its full potential due to a pre existing issue or failing part.

7. Breakdown & Recovery Disclaimer

7.1 The company is not responsible for any recovery costs associated with a breakdown or fault whether occurring before or after our work on it.

7.2 Our mobile service is not applicable for any breakdown or running issues. This includes the need for any tuning revisions or tuning removal.

8. Warranty Information

8.1 Unless specified otherwise, all parts and software sold by the Mac Tuning Ltd including those for motorsport and racing purposes carry no warranty. Product guarantees are solely provided by manufacturers/UK importers, subject to their terms. Purchasers are reminded to complete and return warranty cards/documents upon receiving goods.

8.2 Driving Responsibilities: Excessive driving without due care may lead to car damage, and such damage is not covered under any warranty.

8.3 Repairs for damage caused by negligent driving will incur charges.

8.4 Warranty Exclusions:

  • Damage resulting from the failure to reasonably prevent mechanical damage.

  • Damage or defects due to wear and tear on internal mechanical components, including vehicles at a higher age or mileage.

  • Damage or defects due to failure to service the vehicle in line with manufacturer/Company recommendations.

  • Damage or defects arising from improper vehicle use, neglect, abuse, or engagement in motorsport activities.

  • Vehicles with an issue brought to other garages or tuning companies, prior to coming back to us.

  • Damage or defects from failure to use the correct fuel or specified fuel brand and relevant octane. For info, all of our petrol tuned cars should soley use Shell V-Power E5 99oct or Tesco Momentum E5 99oct fuel. Failure to use this fuel will void any tuning warranty.

9. Refund Policy

9.1 These terms only apply to a 30 day period after our tuning: Software tuning is not refundable unless your vehicle experiences a fault after we tune it, we’ll need to bring the vehicle in so we can assess it.

If the vehicle is brought to any other garage or tuning company prior to us, without us specifying, this will void any relevant tuning warranty and Mac Tuning Ltd reserves the right to refuse any further work on the vehicle.

If the vehicle has its tuning or ecu/tcu changed or altered in any way by another garage or tuning company then this will void all rights to a refund and our warranty service.

9.2 If after the assessment we believe the remap to be the cause of the fault, we'll be happy to refund you and return the vehicle to stock. If the tuning is not the cause of the fault then this will not be refunded as per our default policy. Please note vehicles booked via our finance options will be refunded minus the relevant transaction fee for that finance option. We will also offer to amend the tune at no extra charge. Something to remember, just because your vehicle didn't have any faults before the remap, doesn't mean that subsequent faults are caused by the tuning.

9.3 We have a 100% satisfaction rate when it comes to our remaps and over 200+ 5 star reviews. If you aren't happy with the performance of your vehicle after the tune because its not as powerful as you expected, we won't refund you if you want to return it to stock. We will also charge £60+vat to do so.

9.4 We will look into the fact that this may be due to a mechanical issue with the remap. If there is a vehicle fault we will charge £60+vat for a diagnostic fee.

If there is a fault with the remap we will offer to return the vehicle back to stock and refund you in full, or we can amend the tune for free.

9.5 Any refunds issued can take up to 14 working days.

9.6 If the vehicle and tuning meets the above criteria points and is eligible for a refund, the vehicle must be put back to stock. The tuning must be removed by us within a 30 day period of the initial tuning date unless we otherwise specify an alternative time period.

If the tuning is removed after the 30 day period due to your own choosing, schedule or availability then the vehicle will be ineligible for a refund. Mac Tuning reserves the right to alter the policy at their discretion.

10. Tuning Software

10.1. Mac Tuning Ltd offers a lifetime warranty provided via Viezu Technologies on some of their engine and gearbox tuning software. The warranty is in place for peace of mind that we don’t push any vehicles beyond their safe working limits and an ordinarily healthy and well maintained vehicle should not experience any post tuning related faults. This does not take away from possible faults caused by failure to look after the vehicle or those anticipated due to component wear and tear on internal components.

10.2. If in the event of a lifetime engine warranty claim, we will assess the situation and pass the relevant information to our respective software file writers who will make a decision whether to progress a claim.

10.3 Warranty only covers the engine and gearbox, the warranty does not cover any non engine sensors, bolt on components or wearable items such as brakes, clutches, clutch plates, filters, spark plugs, coil packs etc.

10.4. We do not accept any liabilty for any failures of hardware/engine after tuning, not covered within our warranty terms.

10.5 Should your vehicle experience issues after our tuning and you suspect it to be caused or worsened by the tuning, we can offer a diagnostic and health check session. This service is subject to a fee of £60+vat for all instances in which 30+ days have passed since our tuning of your vehicle. If faults arise within 30 days then there will be no cost for this service. The purpose of the diagnostic service is to assist in finding the fault and its cause whether that’s tuning or hardware related.

10.6 Tuning software is not refundable unless the software is the sole and direct cause of an issue on the vehicle. This will be decided after in depth checks and inspections.

10.7 Cars ran on the dyno are ran at your own risk, should any failures appear, this is the responsiblity of the owner, along with any tyre damage.

Should any oil leak into the rollers, a full strip down is required to clean the dyno and is chargeable of £500+vat

10.8 All tuning figures quoted are the estimated power figures we expect to see from your vehicle variant. Should your vehicle run on a dyno and not make the expected power, we will review your tuning to ensure all is correct and expected. If improvements within the tuning can be made then we will do so. If no further improvements can be made then the extreme likelihood is that the vehicle has underlying faults meaning it cannot provide the demanded power or that the dyno being used is un calibrated. In such instances a refund will not be provided.

10.9 The purpose of the tuning on your vehicle is to make the drivetrain on your vehicle work harder by pushing components closer to tolerance than when they left the factory. You accept that you know that this is the case and the relevant associated risks and that having the tuning services performed may highlight underlying issues including worn components on your vehicle. Components in the vehicle may wear out more quickly than they would have done if you hadn’t brought the vehicle to us. Once we’ve performed tuning services for you, it becomes even more important that you keep your vehicle properly maintained. We do not accept responsibility for any faults to components of the vehicle arising after tuning, including any engine failures except where they arise out of our negligence or breach of contract.
